Clear Glass Snail Aegopinella nitidula

There are only two species of the genus Aegopinella in Britain and this is the biggest. The shell usually is some 8 or 9 mm. It will eat almost everything: debris, fresh plants, other snails and even slugs up to 17 mm! Besides being called Clear Glass Snail, it also listens when you call it Waxy Glass Snail or Reddish Aegopinella.
