Tortoise Beetle Cassida species

The Bordered Tortoise Beetle above is easily identified because of the border. Many other species are green with extended brown markings, some of which are also identified readily. But a few species are green with very small and extremely variable brown markings. Two of those species Cassida stigmatica and Cassida rubiginosa are extremely similar. We have not yet learned a way to tell them apart from pictures. Even though we are convinced this is one of those species, we have no idea which species. Should you be able to help, please e-mail us. By the way there is another species: Cassida viridis. But it is a darker green and has none of the brownish markings on the front of the shields.
